Increase Biz Exposure

Apr 1st, 2008 | By erin | Category: Site Promotion

Direct Sales, Network Marketing, MLM, Home Parties… all these business styles are growing by leaps and bounds. It’s not surprising, really, as home base businesses are popping up world-wide. This increase is in large part due to the Internet as well as the increase in those who desire to have their work home based.

In 2007, it’s estimated that the direct selling industry grossed more than 32 billion dollars. The number of direct sales associates also increased to 15 million. Whats more, the majority of the sales, more than 75%, are made in face to face situations. Do any of these statistics surprise you? While I could go on to quote more stats (you know how I love those!) the fact of the matter is that face-to-face selling situations aren’t going away anytime soon. If you’re in direct sales, etc. you can inrease your exposure using inexpensive and sometimes free resources.

One such resource is in the form of a down-loadable directory which in turn puts your business in front of thousands of new prospects and potential customers. Mindy Beckert of At Home Directory is the clever person behind this directory and if you’ve spent any time on her site, you know she means business.

The key to growing a direct sales business (or any biz for that matter) is increased exposure. We’ve talked about list building and the (free-but-excellent) click-by-click videos available at Renegade University before. I just wanted to let you know about this new option as it might be worth trying.

It just makes sense to me to advertise a direct sales business in a directory specifically for people who are either researching them to determine which one to get into or who are looking for the products and services you sell. Sounds like an easy way to connect the dots, doesn’t it?

Oh, and I haven’t even mention the less than obvious. Mindy will be heavily marketing the directory both online and offline. That means that once you’re listed, any further marketing is taken care of for you. A pretty sweet perk if you ask me. And I even LIKE marketing!

Just something to think about…
