Today’s Freebie is actually a play on the theme. You’ve probably heard tons about building “the list” “the list”. Well, one of the best ways to do this while keeping the needs of your visitors in mind is to offer a free gift as an incentive. This is a tested and proven method to increase the number of people that subscribe to your list.

The gift you offer doesn’t have to be anything pricey, but it should definitely be something that your visitors will appreciate and perceive as valuable.

Take Jen’s puppy name site for example. Jen offers lots of high quality content on her site and to encourage her visitors to sign up for her newsletter, she gives away a free e-book (which she changes on occasion due to a high volume of repeat visitors). Jen’s visitors get an excellent free gift in exchange for providing their e-mail address.

Giving away a freebie is a great way to build your e-mail list.
