This has been an interesting week and since I’m sitting in a parking garage, leeching off the county library’s free wi-fi, I’m a bit at a loss for a post today. I keep looking over my shoulder, expecting the retired cop/grizzled security guard to knock on my window and demand to check my laptop for spamming. It all feels a bit Deep Throat.

Why am I in a parking garage? Well, my youngest son, Mr. Mike, started preschool a couple weeks ago. It begins at 9 and doesn’t let out until 12, so I figured that was three solid hours for Mommy to get her internet marketing on. And you have no idea how I excited I was to learn that the library across the parking lot offers FREE wi-fi! Woot! My plan was to drop Mike off, take the long 75 yard walk across the parking lot, and settle down in a comfy armchair and work, work, work, sneak a little Diet Coke Zero, and work some more.

Due to various reasons, though, this is actually the first chance I’ve had to put my master plan into action. I packed up my awesome new laptop bag (review coming soon! promise!), checked the pockets for the Coke Zero, and strutted over to the library doors, all ready to take on my day. Except. The library doesn’t open for another hour.

Bubble burst.

And that’s why I’m sitting in my Suburban in a parking garage. No one can say I’m not a dedicated blogger!

Okay, so a few of my fave things this week. I found this great blog, Lost Ball in High Weeds. If you’re looking for a rah-rah attitude, Splork over at Lost Ball isn’t going to give it to you. He’s a frustrated internet marketer, which I think 90% of us are. He’s tried lots of things, some that work and most that haven’t, and isn’t afraid to give you the whole dirty details on any of it. He’s the real deal and I appreciate the truth in what he shares.

And my other favorite thing this week? (Wait a sec…man in uniform heading this way.)

Okay, so my other favorite thing this week? My friend and blog partner, Erin. Everyone needs an Erin in their life. I always know I can count on her for encouragement and she works her TAIL off, whether it’s for her 9-5 job or on her websites or on our stuff. If I drop the ball, she always picks it up. And I’m trying really hard to give her back as much as she gives me. Still a work in progress, but I think I’m improving!
